As a child, I remember we often had fresh cut flowers about the house. Usually they included snapdragons and tiger lilies, and I always marvelled at the colour combinations: oranges, hot pinks, purples and greens.
There is something about fresh flowers that are an instant comfort for me, and since I don’t get them that often, I thought it might be fun to re-interpret into ring form, so their essence is always around when fresh ones are not!
Again this week, I busted into my neglected stash of crafty things and played around with some Sculpey. A polymer clay pro I am not, but I’m happy with the end result. I created one little flower inspired by my mum’s love of tiger lilies, and a larger purple one, just for some colour contrast.
